a service that allows a passenger to choose and book a certain seat in the aircraft cabin for his/her journey after purchasing a ticket. The service also allows you to choose and book a seat in the passenger's preferred area, for example, window, aisle, front, center or at the end of the aircraft cabin. The service is provided both on a paid and free basis and is available in a certain period before the scheduled departure of the flight. On a paid basis, passengers are offered to choose and book the most comfortable seats available in the aircraft cabins.
1.1. These Rules determine the procedure for preliminary selection and reservation of seats in aircraft cabins on regular flights of Qanot Sharq LLC.
1.2. The provision of the service of preliminary selection and reservation of seats in the aircraft cabins of Qanot Sharq LLC is subject to the relevant laws, rules and instructions of state authorities of any country in the territory of which the sale of passenger transportation of Qanot Sharq LLC and related services is carried out.
1.3. The service of advance selection and reservation of seats is provided on domestic and international flights of Qanot Sharq LLC both on a paid and free basis in accordance with the seat map of the aircraft operating the flight. A limited number of the most comfortable seats in the economy class cabins are determined for each type of aircraft for advance paid booking.
1.4. Preliminary selection and reservation of seats is made after the ticket is issued within the period set for the performance of such service.
1.5. For an additional fee, the airline may provide the passenger with a seat of his/her choice, with a certain number, in the cabin of the Qanot Sharq aircraft and corresponding to the class of the purchased ticket. Without additional payment for a seat, the passenger can choose any seat open for advance reservation, which does not require additional payment in the cabin of the Qanot Sharq aircraft corresponding to the class of the purchased ticket. Passengers who have not previously booked seats are accommodated by airline employees or agents at check-in before departure at the terminal.
1.6. It is not provided for the provision of pre-booked seats located at emergency exits to the following categories of passengers:
- passengers with children;
- passengers with a group type of booking;
- seriously ill passengers, including passengers on stretchers, passengers with disabilities, passengers moving in wheelchairs, with intellectual disabilities;
- passengers who are blind and deaf, including those with guide dogs;
- passengers transported under escort;
- passengers transporting animals in the aircraft cabins,
- passengers carrying baggage in the cabin on a dedicated seat;
- passengers with oxygen cylinders or other open equipment that supports the vital functions of the passenger's body;
- passengers under the age of 18.
The above categories of passengers are accommodated in the aircraft cabin in the seats assigned to the passenger during check-in at the terminal, taking into account the aviation security requirements.
EXCEPTIONS are passengers with children and passengers under the age of 18, who can use the service of advance selection and seat reservation when purchasing a ticket
2.1. For free advance seat selection, all seats that are freely available for booking are provided, except for seats offered for selection on a paid basis, seats located near emergency exits, as well as seats in the aircraft cabin that do not correspond to the class of the purchased ticket.
2.2. In case of free pre-selection and reservation of seats, passengers can request the following types of preferred seat arrangements:
- a window seat;
- aisle seat;
- seat on the left;
- seat on the right;
2.3. In case of change of the type of aircraft operating the flight, consolidation of flight loading, in failure and other situations in which a passenger who has previously selected and booked a free seat may lose the seat previously provided to him/her, the airline will provide him/her with any free seat that will be available when the passenger passes check-in. At the same time, passengers of special categories (paid) will be offered seats specially allocated on board the aircraft for the corresponding categories of passengers (paid).
3.1. To pay for the service of preliminary selection and reservation of paid seats in the priority zones selected by the passenger, the rates are set in accordance with Appendix No 1.
3.2. For paid pre-selection and reservation, seats located in the most comfortable areas of aircraft cabins are offered.
Seats are not offered for such reservations:
- with non-reclining backrests;
- special categories reserved for passengers: passengers with disabilities, unaccompanied children;
- reserved for aircraft crews, technical personnel and other categories of officials placed on board for the performance of official duties during the flight.
3.3. For the paid pre-selection and reservation service, seats with certain rooms are offered:
- priority seating – first row (first rows) of economy class cabins;
- seats near the portholes;
- aisle seats.
3.4. In case of preliminary selection and reservation of seats by several passengers who have a single reservation, it is possible to choose seats provided both on a paid and free basis. At the same time, for passengers who have chosen paid seats, EMDs must be issued for the amount of the cost of the service provided.
3.5. If a passenger who has paid for the pre-selection and seat reservation service wishes to change the date of departure and no reissuance of the ticket is required, and after making changes to the reservation, the e-ticket revalidation operation is performed, then the following follows:
- cancel the preliminary seat reservation;
- change the departure date in the booking and save the changes made
- revalidate the ticket for a new departure date;
- make a preliminary seat selection for a new departure date and fix the changes made in the booking;
- revalidate the EMD for the new departure date.
If the passenger has not fulfilled the requirements specified in paragraph 3.5 and has not canceled the reservation of the seat assigned to him/her in a timely manner, all money paid for the preliminary reservation of a seat shall not be returned to the passenger.
4.1 Refunds.
If it is not possible to provide the same type of seat during the change of aircraft, delay, cancellation of the flight, the passenger has the right to a refund. The amount is refunded in full at the place of purchase, the passenger is transferred to a free seat.
To apply for a refund, you must contact the place of purchase of the service and provide a copy of the boarding pass with the stamp of the Security Service.
ATTENTION: The airline does not issue refunds at the airport or on board the aircraft.
IN CASE OF REFUSAL TO PROVIDE A PASSENGER WITH A PREVIOUSLY BOOKED AND PAID SEAT, THE AIRLINE SHALL REFUND THE MONEY PAID BY THE PASSENGER. AT THE SAME TIME, THE AIRLINE DOES NOT COMPENSATE FOR MORAL DAMAGE, AS WELL AS ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE COSTS TO THE PASSENGER!
4.2 Refunds are NOT made in the following cases:
- voluntary cancellation or change of the ticket;
- changing your seat during online check-in;
- non-compliance with aviation security requirements;
- Passenger's failure to show up on board (delay, non-compliance with migration and other requirements, etc.).
